Even though I take part in them now and then, I am ambivalent about antiwar protest marches and demonstrations. On the whole, I don't believe they have any tangible effect.The writer goes on to look at the recent immigration marches, the civil rights marches of the 50s and 60s, and the antiwar demonstrations of the last few years (and, to some extent, those of the 70s), and gives some rules to follow for effective protesting.
Of course, not enough antiwar people will pay attention to these rules for anything to change....
