I forgot to mention this a couple days ago, though you may have seen it in the news. NORAD's Cheyenne Mountain underground war room facility is being retired, in favor of a nearby Air Force base.
What makes this news noteworthy to me is this bit:

Not that I have an opinion on whether the ultimate security decision is a good one, but at least the assumptions presented here seem a bit off.
