First ride in weeks
Today I felt the need for another long bike ride; my last ride was almost a month ago.
Ended up going about 15.5 miles in a little over an hour and a half. (Faster this time because I didn't stop so much.) I think I felt the hills more this time though. I really need to get out there more often; my endurance isn't as good as it was before.
This was all zigzagging through residential streets. I really miss the Olentangy-Scioto bike path (well, mainly the Olentangy part) in Columbus. One of these weekends I should try to make it over to the Ohio-Erie Canal Towpath Trail. It's at least twelve miles from my house, along busy streets, so I'll probably want to drive the bike over there.

The Hills are the killer...
Glad you're getting out there. Hope you get a few more in before the weather screws us over! ;-)
Ride safely!
Peace!

Re: The Hills are the killer...
These days the hills are really making me glad I went for the 24-speed bike rather than the 8-speed that was offered to me.
I have quite a ways to go before I can catch up with you.

I remember the hill you're talking about too. I'd take it every so often when I was wandering off to visit some friends at their old house. Coming back was fun, though ;-)

Bah! Enjoy the ride! I have to remind myself constantly that life is at your own pace. I tend to push myself harder than I should because I can get tunnel-vision when I have a goal. Seeing the deer one day reminded me about slowing down and enjoying a bit more.
Peace!
