That reminds me... after the Arabic class I wandered over to catch the end of the middle eastern dance exhibition (which had been distracting me in the last half of the class). One of the performers mentioned that her costume was meticuously period, but her dance wasn't quite so period. This forced her to pull her clothing up against her belly in order for the audience to have any idea what she was doing with her muscles. Good dancing, but the total effect just didn't quite work so well.
