I've never seen it....suppose I should.

It's a good movie. Not in my top 10, but definitely a sweet romantic movie.

I'm a little weird about romantic movies. Its really got to have a lot going for it. And, its just plain in my nature to deny liking what I perceive to be "girly". Old habits die hard I suppose. You can guarantee that if someone calls it a "chick flick" I will (truthfully or not) claim to hate it. Character flaw I suppose.
But, in private, I have been known to curl up with Dirty Dancing, When Harry Met Sally, Ever After, and Roxanne. Just don't get me to try and admit it... lol

I used to be that way about girly stuff. But once you've started bellydancing, well...there's glitter, and pretties, and cool costumes. The girly kind of sneaks up on you.

I've known guys as well as girls who have liked Say Anything. It isn't as slick as a movie like When Harry Met Sally. It's flawed, but it is sweet. It's very 80's. You might not like it, but it is worth giving a try. Like [livejournal.com profile] rfunk said, it has great lines in it.

I like costumes...and I have a special place in my heart (or someplace) for high heeled shoes.

Dude, sometimes I think I'm a dancer for the costumes! You should see my closet. I don't like high heels, but I love love love boots. Sexy boots!

Dressing up is killer good fun. Belly dancing sounds awesome. It should in theory run through my blood already, being an Arab....or not. lol
Shoe talk, yay! I am quite a fan. And, it has nothing to do with feet, don't believe anything Rob tells you.

I'll stay (fairly) quiet and let [livejournal.com profile] staceydc give you a hard time about the feet if she chooses.

lol I've never seen a running gag run so far. But, I figure you must know I don't actually mind. :-)

I was all ready to jump in and shout 'FEET' but then everyone jumped in and now it just feels flat. :(

I'll just have to wait for next time. :)

Say Anything has a lot going for it. I don't see it as a "chick flick" at all. I think it's fairly balanced between his and her perspecitives.
