That's why I periodically and randomly (though sometimes there is a reason) turn my computer off. That way it is not a new concept for the unit. Thought it does mean I don't sleep well that night (My CPU is about seven inches from my bed.)

Good luck on getting it fixed.

Yeah, if you randomly turn it off, you keep it on its toes and it doesn't get complacent. The insecure attachment that results is merely a bonus.

What do you mean 'insercure attachment'? My computer knows I care for it! We have a really going working relationship most days.
