Whoa. Apparently Hunter S. Thompson shot himself tonight.

I just read Fear And Loathing On The Campaign Trail '72 last year. HST was a necessary voice who made a difference. I'm not sure what else to say....

My favorite Fark comment on this was, "He probably thought he had a bat on his face and was trying to shoot it off." I wasn't a huge fan, but he did have an impact on how we see things, and he will be missed.
