Up to this point I've sort of half-heartedly been watching occasional episodes of Lost just because [livejournal.com profile] nontacitare was watching it. But tonight it hooked me. Why?

Delenn was on! ....Er, I mean "Danielle" (hmm, almost an anagram of Delenn), I mean Mira Furlan.....

As soon as she spoke I was ecstatic. Delenn!

Although it doesn't look like she'll be a regular, it does look like "Danielle" will be a recurring character. Reason enough for me to finally give up on Smallville, which has only been going downhill.

I'd seen something about Mira Furlen having a guest spot on Lost, but I didn't realize it was this week...

(BTW, I ran into her at Origins in '98, almost literally. She and a couple con staffers nearly ran me over as they were hurrying to get to the celeb autograph desks in the dealer room; they and I were turning the same corner from opposite directions and couldn't see each other. She was pretty cool about it though, unlike some other celebs I can think of...)

Glad you're enjoying it, but nothing could tear me away from Smallville. :)

Last night was the first new Smallville I missed for Lost.

Smallville might be able to lure me back with Lois, the only part of the first half of the season I really liked. But I think DelennDanielle beats Lois.

I caught up on Smallville, and discovered that although it still has its cheesy moments, Lois seems to be on much more regularly now, and the Alicia two-parter was really good.

On the other hand, this season of Alias is still pretty bad. Smallville needs to move to 9:00.

She had some of the best lines in Bab 5.

"Marriage is a sacred institution. . ." Martha Kent lost me right there last night. I mean, wtf?

So Lost follows in the tradition of Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Andromeda, Alias, and Smallville of shows I've managed to hook you on. Be warned, rfunk, General Hospital is in your future. ;-)
