Tonight after the gallery some of us ended up watching the movie Camp, which isn't really my type of movie but was entertaining enough. (And hey, according to the credits an ex-girlfriend of mine was in the movie... except that character is black and my ex-girlfriend isn't. Heh, IMDB lists eight people with that name.)
The best part for me was that the Replacements song "Skyway" was in the movie in two scenes. Great song (and awesome album), but there's no way I'll ever be good enough on the guitar to be able to play it. So from there my mind wandered to another Replacements song, "Can't Hardly Wait". It's stuck in my head and now I MUST learn it, or at least be able to play the intro on the bass.

Write you a letter tomorrow
Tonight I can't hold a pen....
Update half an hour later:
OK, I got the basic riff fingering on the bass, in two different octaves (one and two octaves below the guitar version).
