That's cool there's going to be another Fletch movie. But from the sounds of it, they're not going to bring back Chevy Chase, and I don't think it'll be the same without him.

Chevy Chase

According to the Chevy Chase interview on the fletchwon.net site, Chevy agrees with you.

Well, this movie is a prequel of sorts, so Chevy would be too old for it anyway. Smith wants Jason Lee for the part. However, Smith also wants Chase to do a voiceover as "old Fletch". On the other hand, apparently Smith didn't caress Chase's ego quite enough and Chase got pissed off, so it might take some finessing to get him to do it.
