Farscape Fun

I never watched Farscape enough to make total sense of it or be a loyal fan, but I've watched it about as much as I've watched Star Trek: The Next Generation (i.e. if it's on when I randomly happen to be looking for something to watch), so I'm somewhat familiar with it without knowing all the plot twists and turns.

Slashdot tells us that there will be a four-hour Farscape miniseries on Sci-Fi Channel starting Oct 17, and that a trailer is now online.

But the best bit I got out of the Slashdot post came from the comments: Farscape meets the Muppet Show

Oh. My. Not as brilliant as the "I'm Too Sexy" Pirates of the Carribean Video (http://suzvoy.freeservers.com/potcvids.html), but definitely fun.

Hmm, the "I'm Too Sexy" video doesn't really do anything for me. Maybe because I (being a straight male) see Jack Sparrow as witty rather than sexy, and that video pretty much strips out his wit. And there's even less synchronization than there is in the Farscape/Muppet video.

I just realized that there are a lot of similarities between Jack Sparrow and Betelgeuse... at least in my head.

And thanks for the FYI about Farscape ... I don't watch it religiously, but I do enjoy it.
