  • 11:48 Wanted to go to Cup O Joe, but the one nearby is "temporarily closed." Panera is a weak substitute. #
  • 12:47 getting around Panera's lunchtime 30-minute-wifi limit by switching wifi adapters. I knew there was a good reason to keep old ones around. #
  • 22:23 Ended up with two simultaneous lapcats who don't entirely get along. Fine for a while, then not. Luckily no injuries resulted. #

  • 17:04 Oiling CPU fans. Hoping to have a quiet computer again. #
  • 18:07 Failed to quiet the computer. Fan is full of oil and still noisy. :-( #

  • 11:39 trying to find out why our DSL net connection is 1/6 the speed it should be. #
  • 11:57 learned not to use splitter-style DSL filter provided years ago, but to use a newer inline filter (plus separate splitter). Has fast nets! #
  • 17:22 fixed the iPod so it'll sync with Amarok again. (For future reference: had to re-detect/save the FirewireGuid to SysInfo.) #
  • 22:01 apparently fixing music-sync made App Store apps no longer work. Nice. #
  • 22:12 Installing another app seems to have fixed things. I miss the stability of the old firmware. #

  • 20:51 Made reservations for next weekend with a lapcat. Now considering making dinner, but lapcat remains. #
