rfunk at 12:24pm on 01/01/2008The New York Times recently described an upcoming collection of modules to be sold by a company called Bug Labs. The Times says, "Think of them as Legos for adults who are tired of having limited gadget choices and want to make their own hardware as easily as they now mash up Web sites and write their own software."
They quote the founder/CEO: “I firmly believe inside every software engineer is a frustrated hardware engineer.” That's consistent with my experience; I started studying electrical engineering in college, then realized that it was a lot cheaper and easier to experiment with software than with hardware. Thus I got more practice with software hacking, and got better at it, while barely getting by in my EE classes.
