Leap Second Log
From my computer's syslog yesterday:
Dec 31 18:59:59 hactar kernel: [1743022.253488] Clock: inserting leap second 23:59:60 UTC
I think this means I got an extra second to finish dinner.
It would have been more fun to have the Times Square countdown add a second, but that would be five hours late.
