This is horrifying!

An Oregon 17-year-old reports being raped by her boyfriend and his two friends. The prosecutors decide that they don't have enough evidence to prove the allegation in court, so they prosecute her for filing false charges! "Because of the seriousness of her charges," they say. Then a judge found her guilty on Friday - mainly because her friends didn't think she'd acted traumatized after the rape, and despite noting inconsistencies in the men's stories. He even disallowed evidence of those friends' unreliability, and ignored the fact that those same friends had convinced her to report the rape. He also allowed evidence about her sexual history, which should be irrelevant.

No wonder women are so reluctant to report rapes.
