Retro Web

I like this April 1 project. Those who were on the net in 1994 may remember that the first graphical web browser was called Mosaic, and it was the predecessor to Netscape (code-named Mozilla.

Former Mosaic/Netscape programmer [livejournal.com profile] jwz has resurrected the 1994 Mosaic Browser home page and the Mosaic Communications Corp home page. The graphics even load gradually like they did back then. Show the kids what the early web was like!

He also made available the old browsers from those days for anyone who wants the complete 1994 web experience. Somehow this image of Mosaic running on OS X amuses me greatly.
