I tend to be one of those "the more buttons, the better" guys. I highly prefer a thumb operated trackball, but have gotten use to using a regular mouse again at work. Got a new system there a couple of months ago and the mouse has all sorts of buttons: right/left click (of course), scroll wheel that (center) clicks and moves left and right (the wheel on my trackball at home doesn't move left/right so it gets a bit frustrating moving between the two), and also back and forward buttons on the right side where your thumb is, which creates all sorts of amusement in our web-based procurement/HR systems. Granted, there is something awesome about the single button on Mac mice, sorta like the old Atari controllers, "Yeah, we only give you one button, but its the only button you'll ever need!"
